Privacy Policy
In short: we collect what Nuddo Glow and Nuddo Ghost need to work; we don’t sell your data or track you across apps; your photos are private unless you share them; Ghost chats are end-to-end encrypted, so we can’t read them; and you can delete your account and all your data in either app at any time.
1. Who we are
Nuddo Glow is made and run by Arivanta Pty Ltd, a company registered in Victoria, Australia. “We”, “us” and “our” in this policy mean Arivanta Pty Ltd.
This policy covers both iPhone apps, Nuddo Glow and Nuddo Ghost (which share one Nuddo account), and the nuddo.me website. What’s specific to Nuddo Ghost is in “Chats in Nuddo Ghost”.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Nuddo Glow iPhone app and the nuddo.me website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect
Your account
- Sign-in details: your email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash — we can’t see it). If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier from Apple and the email you choose to share (which may be an Apple private relay address).
- Profile: username, the Nuddo ID we assign you, nickname, bio, gender (optional), and avatar (one from our library, or a photo you upload).
- Age: the birth year and month you enter when you sign up and, if your iPhone supports it and you agree to share it, the age range Apple provides (such as “16 or over” — we don’t see your birth date). We use it only to check you’re 16 or over; it’s never public or shown to other users.
What you record in Nuddo Glow
- Your goals and their settings (name, frequency, deadline, reminder time), check-ins, progress, mood and notes.
- Photos you choose to add (check-in photos, photos on trips, your avatar).
- Details that depend on the kind of goal, for example: amounts and spending categories, shift hours, hourly wage and pay, meals and calories, weight and other measurements, match scores, exercises and sets, pomodoro sessions, and birthdays or anniversaries (which may include the names and dates of people you know).
- Circle activity: circles you join, progress you add, announcements, cheers and likes.
- Feedback you send us.
Location
We use your precise location only when you record a run, ride, hike or trip (location continues in the background while that recording is active so we can draw your route), or when you turn on “Location” for a goal. The location is saved with that record. You can turn off location access in your iPhone settings at any time.
Health data (Apple Health)
Only with your permission, Nuddo Glow reads steps, heart rate, sleep and period days from Apple Health to fill in related goals (such as step goals, sleep time, heart-rate charts for runs and your period log). The values are saved and synced with your records so they appear on your other devices.
Nuddo Glow writes to Apple Health only if you turn on “Sync with Apple Health” in a period goal, and then only the period days you log.
Nuddo Glow never uses health data for advertising or marketing, sells it, or shares it with third parties (other than check-ins you choose to make visible to people who follow you).
Purchases
Subscriptions and tips are processed by Apple; we never receive your card details. We receive signed transaction information from Apple (product, dates, transaction ID and status) so we can unlock your plan.
Device and technical information
- A push notification token (if you allow notifications), your app language and time zone (so reminders arrive at your local time).
- App version and device model, included when you send feedback.
- IP addresses, request times and errors in server logs, used for security and troubleshooting and rotated automatically.
Nuddo Glow does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking.
3. Chats in Nuddo Ghost
Nuddo Ghost uses the same account, buddies, circles and block list as Nuddo Glow. Its chats are end-to-end encrypted:
- Encryption happens on your phone. Every phone running Ghost has its own encryption keys (vodozemac / Olm). The private keys stay in that phone’s Keychain and are never uploaded; we store only the public keys other phones need to encrypt for you.
- We can’t see what you send. Text, voice, video, photos and places are encrypted before they leave your phone; our server only receives and passes on ciphertext. Photos have location and other metadata removed before they’re encrypted.
- Deleted on delivery. A chat message is deleted from our server as soon as it reaches the other phone; one that can’t be delivered is deleted when it would have faded anyway. Burn-after-reading messages are deleted once read, or after 7 days. On your phones, messages fade with your plans (3, 12 or 36 hours; 30 minutes for private chats between circle members) and are then deleted there too.
- Moments you keep (👻): a message you both mark goes into your shared sky. The sky is encrypted with a key only the two of you hold and stored on our server so it survives a new phone; we can’t open it. Either of you can let a star go, or delete the whole sky with Burn Together. If you stop being buddies or one of you blocks the other, the sky is deleted after 7 days (kept if you become buddies again within that time).
- What we can see: who messaged whom and when, the kind and size of a message (for delivery, daily allowances and abuse prevention), whether you turned on “Sync to Glow”, and how many moments you’ve kept. This is deleted once it’s delivered or expires, and never used for advertising.
- Notifications never include what you wrote — only who it’s from and which chat.
- Screenshots and recording: the other person is told when you take a screenshot of a chat, and chats are hidden while the screen is recorded or mirrored. This all happens on the phone; screenshots aren’t sent to us.
- Location is read only when you choose to send a place, and is end-to-end encrypted like any message.
- Microphone and camera are used only while you record a voice message or take a photo or video.
- Reports: when you report someone you can attach the messages concerned; your phone decrypts them and sends them to us, and we use them only to handle that report.
- Purchases: Ghost plans are bought separately from Glow’s and are also processed by Apple.
Deleting your account deletes everything in both apps, including your Ghost keys, undelivered messages and your skies.
4. How we use it
- To provide Nuddo Glow: saving and syncing your goals and records across the devices you sign in on.
- To let you connect with the people you choose: buddies, following, circles, likes, cheers, nudges and rankings.
- To send the reminders and notifications you turn on, including alerts when a followed goal is missed.
- To send account emails such as sign-in codes. We don’t send marketing emails unless you agree to them separately.
- To unlock and check your subscription.
- To keep Nuddo Glow safe, prevent abuse, and handle reports and blocks.
- To answer your feedback and support requests, and to improve Nuddo Glow.
5. What other people can see

You can stop following, remove a follower, end a buddy connection, leave a circle or block someone at any time.
6. Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information or share it with advertisers. We share it only:
- With Amazon Web Services (AWS), which runs our servers, database, photo storage and email sending. Your data is stored in the AWS Singapore region.
- With Apple, for Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and push notifications.
- With Namecheap, which forwards support email sent to nuddo.me addresses to our team.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users and others.
- If Nuddo Glow is merged or sold, in which case we’ll tell you first and require the new owner to keep to this policy.
Overseas disclosure
Because our data is stored in Singapore, your personal information is transferred outside Australia. We use only service providers that work for us and keep the data confidential, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account and records: for as long as you use Nuddo Glow.
- When you delete your account (Settings → Delete account in the app), your profile, goals, records, photos, follow connections and circle data are deleted from our database and photo storage straight away, and your Sign in with Apple authorisation is revoked.
- Database backups are kept for up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Server logs are rotated automatically, usually within a few weeks.
- Feedback and support emails stay in our mailbox until they’re resolved and no longer needed; you can ask us to delete them.
8. Your rights and choices
- See and correct: most of your information can be viewed and changed directly in the app.
- Get a copy: email privacy@nuddo.me and we’ll send you your data as a file (Premium Plus members can also export records in the app).
- Delete: delete your account in the app, or email us.
- Permissions: turn off notifications, location, photos and health access at any time in your iPhone settings.
- Visibility: change who follows you and who sees your photos, or block someone, at any time.
We’ll respond to requests within 30 days. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au.
9. Security
Everything is sent over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; your sign-in credentials are kept in the iPhone Keychain; photos are kept in private storage and are only reachable through short-lived signed links issued to people allowed to see them. Photos are compressed on your phone before upload, which removes location and other metadata. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach affects you, we’ll notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
10. Under 16s
Nuddo Glow is a social app for recording and sharing with your buddies and circles. Following the social media minimum age in Australia’s Online Safety Act, we only offer accounts to people 16 and over, everywhere.
- You give your birth year and month when you sign up; under 16s can’t create an account. Where your iPhone supports it, we also ask Apple to confirm your age range.
- Accounts made before this rule confirm their age once in the app; accounts of people under 16 are deactivated (they can still be deleted).
- We never ask you to upload identity documents.
- If you think someone under 16 is using Nuddo Glow, or your age was assessed wrongly, email support@nuddo.me and we’ll sort it out.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. The current version is always on this page.
